Sandra Nordgren founded and imple-ments the New Works Reading Series
(NewWorksReadingSeries.weebly.com) Readings are presented at NYC's Physics Theater and 13th Street Repertory Co. This series provides a forum for playwrights, composers, and lyricists to develop their work. |
A Q & A follows the reading.
Nearly 200 readings and an offering of 35 productions, 16 development work-shops, 11 short play festivals, and 2 theater playwright residencies resulted from this Reading Series, all in NYC and all at no cost to the playwright. |
Many of the works in this reading series come from the New Works of Merit Playwriting Contest, the first 12 of the New York Theatre Experience's anthologies: Plays and Playwrights. The anthologies are comprised of the best new plays and musicals reviewed by nytheatre.com, one of our country's most prestigious theater websites.
